How to Stay Positive

Hey everyone,
I just wanted to talk about something today that a lot of people including me, find quite hard to do; especially when time's can get pretty awful.

Now I'm definitely not saying I'm perfect as I have my anxiety to deal with on top of this but recently I've learnt how completely draining it is to feel so crappy all the time and how if you think about it most of the time it really isn't worth it. So I guess I just wanted to give you guys some advice and tips, so here goes..

Tip 1: I've started to do this recently and it surprisingly has helped really well, on my phone and iPad i have reminders on my phone daily saying "Reminder that it feels fucking amazing to feel good" ( I also have a dancing girl emoji and a bang emoji which just makes it tbh) You can put whatever you want and it's just one of those feel good motivational things that if you start to feel shit again, then you can just be like you know what, no I'm not gonna be upset over some dick or get way too stressed over homework because no matter what I deserve to be happy!

Tip 2: Don't bottle up all your emotions and feelings, I know you think it helps at the time because you won't get upset at the time if you just ignore it but trust me on this one you'll just get to a point where you've bottled up practically every crap feeling possible and you just won't be able to handle it anymore. So please if it's your friends, family, even teachers just tell someone because people can be so more sympathetic towards you if they actually know you're upset or even affected by what they've done to you. Aint nobody mess with my clique, am I right hahah oh god I need to stop(this is what happens when you watch mean girls)

Tip 3: Take one day at a time, if the future scares you then just for now don't think about it, I'm not saying ignore it, just accept it worries you and move on. Learn to take each day as it comes as you never know what a new day will bring; unless it's a school day then you just know it's gonna be shit;) But if you're a concert person like me, you're always gonna have new concerts to look forward to and new music being released like listening to a completely new album by your fave is like the best thing in existence.. unless you don't like it then it's just hella awkward.

Tip 4: Take lots of breaks and give yourself plenty of time to relax! No point working all day if you aren't actually learning anything or it's just making you more stressed. It's much better to learn to balance your life with fun time(ugh I sound so cringy I do apologise) and work, like what I which is do some work then have a new girl break, you'll find you are so much more motivated if you have something to look forward too.

Tip 5: Times do get better- always keep this phrase in the back of your mind because I know at times you can have just such a negative view on everything and just believe that nothings going to get better but I'm here to say honestly it does! I'm not saying you're gonna feel ok once something super awful has happened because lets face it I don't have magic powers..or do I?! No but seriously sometimes you just have to be patient and wait for it to get better because it will do eventually as long as you surround yourself with positive people and accept that there is gonna be knockbacks but also accept that you are strong and can get past this with the help of friends, family etc.

Wow well I knew this blog post was gonna be longer than usual but I guess it makes up for not posting in like nearly a month right? I really do hope this helped, keep doing what you love and stick at it, you'll get there, even if I'm the only person believing in you!

Talk to you guys later,
Sophie
