A Chilled Week

Hey guys!
See it's a Sunday and I'm writing this..I'm proud of myself okay!

So compared to last week this week has been much more chilled. Recently I have been feeling really ill which isn't great, my voice is going and everything (yay..) It changes from sounding like a man to being non-existent.

Usually I look back at my camera roll to remind myself what I've done the past week but since I've been pretty lazy most of my pictures are of smudge. Like she is so similar to me she sleeps ALL the time and especially when I'm binge watching new tv shows (the vampire diaries is my current binge) she loves to sleep on me or next to me, it's so cute (shoutout to all you cat owners, you're awesome!!)

After I finished Teen Wolf which was so good, I've now watched all the comicon interviews and I love how close the cast are! Especially Tyler Posey and Dylan O'Brien, their friendship is so lovely to see. I've already watched 6 seasons of TVD but I was waiting for Netflix to release season 7 but they are taking way too long so I had no other choice than to illegally download it (sorry but it's all Netflix's fault..joking ily Netflix;) The last episode I watched was episode 10 and wow it reminded me how much I missed the show, such an amazing cast. Once I've finished then I have so many other series on my Netflix list so don't worry I'll never run out. I'm always open to recommendations though! So season 8 which comes out in late October is the last series which makes me so sad and then Teen wolf's season 6 is their last series which airs in November. Why do I get so attached and emotionally invested, I am gonna be a mess when they both end, why am I like this (I think I need help?!) Joking I'm fine I just have a serious addiction but I love it. At least both shows are gonna go out with a bang and end on a high!

Wow sorry for that rant, as you can see if you get in a conversation with me about tv series I love then I can talk for days/weeks/months/years (okay I swear I'd stop at years..nah probably not)

Last Thursday I ended up going food shopping with my mum (this is what my life has become I need help for real..) It's all good though as I got this amazing raspberry and white chocolate pastry which I quickly snapped before shoving it in my mouth. It looks good right?!

Then on Friday I decided to bake something as my friend got me Tanya Bakes for my birthday (yes she's another youtuber) I picked her raspberry cupcakes but I wanted to add a little twist because apparently I felt like Mary Berry that day..(tbf I was wearing a floral bomber jacket which she always wore on bake off..I mean what can I say she inspires me) Moving on from my hopefully obvious sarcasm, I wanted to add chocolate chips in as well because we had them and I thought why not. The bun turned out good and the icing was so good as I blended some fresh raspberries from our garden (that's right just call me a domestic goddess) That's actually what my apron said because I was wearing a Nigella one, anyway so that was amazing but all the chocolate chips sank to the bottom. Why does life hate me?! I still need to google why that happened so it doesn't happen again.

Now after mentioning my embarrassing amount of pictures of my cat Smudge there was on my phone, it's only fair to show you ALL of them. Don't worry I'll pick my favourites, I know not everyone loves cats, I mean each to their own (but you're stupid;)

Hope you're all enjoying your summer holidays, as it may have only just begun for some of you. I've been off since May well I was still revising so about mid June I was free. Make the most of it! Enjoy the summery British weather because let's be honest it won't last much longer (nope that's not me being pessimistic it's just the truth, you realise that after living 18 years in the UK)

My First Legal Night Out

Hey guys!
Long time no talk!

First of all I know posting on Tuesday is late but I'm sorry I've just been very busy then I sometimes think like have I even got anything to apologise about, do people even read this?! (just my everyday thoughts) but then I thought fuck it I wanna write a post even if only 1 person reads it and I didn't wanna rush it so I left it until now (so this is for the awesome human beings reading this;)

I'm gonna jump right in to Teen Wolf as I don't think I've mentioned this before as it has been a new obsession of mine. I started watching it after the new season of orange is the new black finished (SO AMAZING..YEP IT DESERVES CAPITAL LETTERS) I have a load of tv shows on my Netflix list but I heard my friend talking about it recently and the description looked good so I started it. Probably like 2 episodes in I was hooked, I definitely hid away in my room watching episode after episode..after episode. This is what I'm like after I become obsessed! I recommend it so badly, if you like programmes like the vampire diaries, the originals or once upon a time then you'll love this! Who knows why I'm trying to sell it to you, I just want everyone to feel the same way about it. I'm on episode 15 of season 5 and then that's the last until they air season 6 in the fall they said..how am I gonna wait that long?!

Moving on because I could honestly talk about teen wolf for way too long. So like I may or may not have said (okay so I can't remember) I celebrated my 18th with my friends the Saturday after my birthday as one of my friends only got back from holiday on the Friday. We went to Jump Arena in Leeds it was so fun, ridiculously tiring but we had a good time. I ran across the tight rope all the way to the end I was so proud as my other friends couldn't do it, I practically fell onto the other side but I made it and that's all that counts! After, we went to wagamamas because I love it and we introduced some friends who hadn't been before! I got number 40 if you wanna know, tastes so good! We had starters as well so by the end of it we were stuffed. After, 2 of my friends left because 1 was 17 and the other had work the day after.

(Brief pause)
The Thursday before that I went to Vipers in Harrogate for my first night out. We specifically went as Alex from Love Island was there and did a meet and greet! Yes I watched love island but I couldn't resist it, it's just my guilty pleasure! He was so lovely and sweet and of course fucking hot!!

Before, me and my friends got vodka and lemonade but honestly it was vile and I had a few sips and I had to leave the rest. Then we got double vodka and coke which was so much better! You can't taste the vodka as much as you could with the lemonade, ended up having about 4 because it was 3 for £10 which was an amazing deal. Now I'm a lightweight so after that I was just having fun with my other friend dancing (who also was a lightweight). We had a good time, the songs were good and yeah I loved it. Also to reassure anyone about the pressure of kissing before a certain age as otherwise you're frigid or whatever idiots call it nowadays. I ended up having my first kiss at that club and I'm not ashamed to say it took until I was 18, like people care too much about when you do things at certain ages! Different people are ready at different times so yeah that's all I'll say about that, I just wanted to reassure people who may feel embarrassed about it, please don't, you really don't need to!

(End of my brief pause) Now the interesting part, we went for my first night out in Leeds! We went to Space as that was the cheapest entry fee of £5 compared to pryzm which is also meant to be good but it was £7 (yep that £2 makes all the difference..) My hair dresser recommended we go to Space as well and I see why as the DJ there was so good! He played the best songs but the only thing was it was like a sauna in there we had to keep going out to get fresh air. We ended up outside for ages just cooling down and then we went to McDonald and other things may have happened before then;)

Me and my friends ended up getting home from both nights at about 5. I had my cousins 4th birthday party to go to the next day (not the best when you're hungover) I just remember being called a dirty stop out by my uncle..

Anyway, moving on did I tell you I got a new prescription for my glasses? Who knows I can't remember. Well there was an offer on so I got some sunglasses as well, so that's my excuse for posting this selfie okay. (They are from Specsavers like my glasses are as well)

I went into town (Leeds) today and I couldn't resist getting a tinted blue pair of sunglasses which I can wear when I eventually can be bothered to wear my contact lenses. They're from Accessorize, look how cool they are!

I used my birthday money to update my eyebrow makeup stuff as Benefit have brought out a whole new range and when I got my makeup done for prom I loved it. I got the gel which stays on for ages which is amazing and the 3D brow stuff which makes your brows look more natural. I'm getting so much better at shaping my brows now I'm proud. Basically the whole point of this was to show you the awesome bag it came in...(each to their own okay)

I also went into paperchase where I got a couple of cards free for my birthday! Then I fell into the purr maids trap, how cute is all this stuff though?!

Wanna see something tragic..who am I kidding of course you do. So like I said earlier my friend had just come back from a 3 week holiday and I have just stayed in Leeds pretty much. So let's see if you can work out which leg is which...

We are basically a different race..

Another tragic and embarrassing thing because apparently I love to embarass myself on the Internet. So this is a picture my friend took of me when I downed a Jager bomb and I was immediately sick after it (not my best moment) You know what I'm sorry but I might just keep this between me and my friend but at least you know that happened..

My 18th Yesterday!

Hey guys!
Hope you're all good and enjoying your summer holidays or just making the most out of life if you have a job.

Last Wednesday I ended up having such a successful shopping trip which I didn't even plan. I ended up buying loads.

I bought a floral bomber jacket from new look.

Sale socks (they were cat ones ofc for 75p & £1)










These are some chokers I bought which I love, I've really gotten into chokers ever since I wore one for prom.

I then bought friends shot glasses from hmv which I've always wanted and thought I could use them on my birthday but don't think we will in the end, still love them though.





I got a citrus bath bomb called lava lamp which smells amazing. Finally I went to Primark as I always love their branded tops as in Friends ones so I got a matching one with my friend (aren't we so cool) and then a Big Bang theory one. I've found they are the best pyjama tops. So yeah that happened but to be fair (first time I've wrote that out) I'll get money in from work soon and my birthday money. So technically I was just spending money I don't have yet but I know I will get soon;) I love my logic it works great.

So I've been working at Next for the sales from Thursday to Monday like I told you I would. I mean it's been alright, I'm only doing it for the money of course. I'll need it when I go to uni definitely! Thursday and Friday night me and the other workers were there to help with the sale so we were prepping all the sales stock. This involves ticketing so many clothes and red penning (meaning writing the original price & date on the tickets) Then comes the fun job of running up and downstairs bringing sale stock downstairs and bringing full price stock up stairs (that job comes first but oh well) Me and my friend who works there full time wore both our friends tops on the Friday (friendship goals)

YESS I HAVE FINISHED MY SALE WORK AT NEXT!!

I am so happy and tired as I had my last shift today and I had to get up at 5 in the morning because my shift started at 6. Getting up this morning was so painful, reminds me of getting up for school (not that early but still) that's definitely one thing I don't miss about school (trust me I can think of more I just don't wanna bore you) I can't wait for the money to go in my bank!!

For my birthday I got:

- a necklace
- a rose gold daisy ring
- a purple bracelet
- fangirl and billy & me books
- dragon egg & think pink bath bomb
- £15 new look voucher from my friends parents (so generous omg)

Then of course money so yeah I had a good day yesterday..apart from working 11-3 but I survived that. Then I went to a meal with my family at San Carlos which was so good. The only thing is it that the starter was so filling (mozzarella, bazil and sundried tomatoes) that I was stuffed even before my main course.

I had a palma ham pizza which was amazing!! I took it home in a "doggy bag" as people call it, not literally of course. It was such a fancy restuarant but it was nice and obviously if I was getting full on my main course then I definitely couldn't have a desert, I wish I could but I was way too full.

Right so I asked for no rocket and parmazan. The guy misheard me and thought I said no parma ham and so I literally got a margherita pizza with loads of parmazan which I didn't want. 5 minutes later they sorted it and made me another pizza and the guy asked me if I wanted some parmazan..that was a rolling eyes moment.

How could I forget omg I just remembered my mum made me an amazing Victoria sponge cake! How good does it look!

Side note but wow how addictive is Pokemon go though?! I caught 4 new ones in Harrogate I was so happy! Here are the ones I have now and hopefully by next week I'll have even more. I'm on level 5 now but nearly level 6 yess.

Dying My Hair Pink

Hey guys!
Hope you're all enjoying your summer holidays and making the most of it.

So after my prom (incase my hair looked shit) I went to the hair dressers and they dyed my hair. I've always wanted to dye my hair but mine is so thin and dark brown that is makes it super impossible. So they used a purple/pink toner on the already blonde bits I died throughout my hair before. So now the colour is like a subtle pink which I wasn't aiming for but I kinda love it now. This is what it looked like the first day I got it.

Last week I tried to dress summery even if the weather wasn't at all summery.

It kinda worked though as the day ended up nice and sunny (you just have to believe..once upon a time reference;)

I was wearing my favourite jewelled sandals, my black playsuit I haven't worn in ages and my favourite hoodie.






Although, it's quite sad as it doesn't look like it now after I've washed my hair. You can't tell as much that it has pink in it ugh. I wish I had thicker hair so I could properly dye it pink. I wouldn't wanna go bright pink anyway, I would wanna go light but even that I can't do otherwise I'll ruin my hair. Life problems..I know it's hard being me (rolls eyes at myself but seriously it's annoying though)

As a reward for me being so patient with siting in the chair for so long, my mum bought me a white chocolate and raspberry brownie. Okay so I'm obviously joking about the first part but she did buy me a brownie, it was very rich but the raspberry sweetened it and made it taste amazing! Not to make you jealous but look how good it looks:       (my nails have stayed perfect I'm well happy)

Last Tuesday I did something I've never done before (I'm pretty proud of myself..) Bet you're all expecting something amazing but nope I just meant I invited myself to a meet up with my friends. I just usually feel awkward doing so but I hadn't seen one of my friends for way too long and the other a while ago too. So we met up in Harrogate and being the amazing friend that she is, she payed for our meal at Zizzis. I've never been to Zizzi's before but after going I would 100% recommend it to you guys! We used our NUS extra student cards and got a 40% discount which was amazing! It basically meant our drinks were free. I got Sprite (my go too drink) and a margherita pizza which was so good. So yeah I owe my other friend big time, no pressure there..

One of my friends I met up with had amazing hair so obviously I discreetly took a picture (the awkward kinda person I am I'd never ask straight up) She has naturally blonde hair which makes it a lot less complicated for her, hair goals ugh












On Wednesday I checked my emails and saw one saying I won a competition. Of course I thought it was spam straight away but I read it and realised I won a hotel chocolat competition. I couldn't even remember entering it but I won a box of chocolates that would have been at least a tenner.

I've already had a few of course and yeah they are amazing, they are pricy chocolates but so damn worth it.

If you've been reading my blog for a while then you'll know I've previously worked at Next for their Christmas and summer sales. So of course this year was no exception so I applied (honestly expecting to get it as I'd worked there 3 times by now) I got the job so I went to the induction on Thursday and it was lovely how many staff recognised who I was. It was good getting refreshed on the shop as it can get confusing, then we watched this cheesy video of some guy working at Next showing us what to do on a sale day. It was very realistic with lots of customers (there were none in the video) and clothes that fell on to the floor kept on their hangers! I don't know what else to call that but some kind of magic, I've done it before and no they don't stay on hangers. They end up in an awkward tangled pile of clothes in a mess on the floor (sorry to smash that guy's dreams) We were then showed how to tag clothes and even the woman doing the induction was like yeah you won't be bothered about doing this (very true) so I just watched and helped. Unlike the last 3 times, we had to lift a box with our knees from the floor to on top of the other boxes and were shown about ladders and stools (so guessing safety wasn't as important the first 3 times I worked there..gosh I'm joking ily Next)

So I start next Thursday in the evening and I'm just glad I have a job as I have been skint for ages now. I can't wait to get some money and it will coincide with me getting lots of birthday money as well yess! Here's me being a poser and using the snapchat filters to my advantage (making me look presentable that day)

Nothing exciting (always a good way to start a paragraph) but I used my unicorn horn bubble bar yesterday. I expected something huge and colourful as I always go for the best bath bombs but all it did was make the bath pink and create bubbles. So apparently I have high standards now when it comes to lush things, next time I'm gonna stick with bath bombs only (they are the best aren't they?!)

I was going to end with another picture of smudge but I thought nah that's too predictable. But hey I like being a predictable asshole so here is smudge asleep on my bed earlier today.

My Year 13 Prom

Hey everyone!
Look at me posting on my normal day (what's going on?!)

So last Wednesday I had my sixthform prom. I showed you the dress I ended up going for last week and my friends all said the dress is like me and they liked it so I was happy.

On the Monday and Tuesday I got my makeup done by this Benefit woman so on the Wednesday I hoped to recreate what she did. Honestly they make it look so easy!

I wish I could've recreated this! (I gave it my best shot but it wasn't half as good)

Since I didn't do my own makeup I'm allowed to say how good my eyebrows look right?!

Benefit brought out a whole new eyebrow range with so many products I thought some must be for your face but nope all to do with your eyebrows.

She used the gel on me and I can't wait to get the gel on my birthday next month so my eyebrows can hopefully look this good again.







Random break in between prom talk but how cute is my friend's cat Misty!! (not as cute as Smudge but still adorable) He is about 9 years old so makes my 3 year old cat look like a baby.

So I ended up getting my mum to help with my makeup but I'm happy with the products I have now. As I usually use black eyeliner as it's the norm but I tried dark brown eyeliner and it suits me better as it helps open up my eyes more. Then on the day of prom I went to my friends house with a friend to stay over at hers after prom. Much better than my year 11 prom as I arrived separately from my friends so I awkwardly had to find my friends but this time it was much better.

I am wearing a purple chocker which I kinda love.

You can't really see but I'm wearing a gold bag which is my mum's which adds to my gold theme (necklace, bracelet & bag = gold theme;)

We arrived and well my mum and dad were there with my teachers so that was a..nice surprise. They took pictures outside of the venue and my psychology teacher zipped up the top my of dress as it fell down and aw she was so sweet! (I had no idea so I was so grateful) So the rest of the night I was so paranoid and constantly checking my dress. It was a good night but honestly the best part was being reunited with my friends as the actual prom wasn't amazing..apart from the sweets as they were good! Most of us left at about 9:30/10 and went to weatherspoons (or spoons as people call it now) and I got in yess! My friends bought the drinks obviously and I shared a blue lagoon pitcher which was so good! I also shared a purple rain one as well. I do prefer spoons to the pit in Harrogate as getting tipsy/drunk from drinks you actually like is so much better!

My friend told me about Friends Fest which I still can't believe I had no idea about. Well I heard about the London one but I didn't know about one this year. So of course I got tickets, I set my alarm on Friday just to wake up at 10 and then I got the tickets and fell back asleep (didn't get up until at least 1) That's the dedication I have for Friends, I am so excited!! (you know the sitcom friends?)

Today I went to town with my mum as my prescription has changed so I needed to get new glasses. We were going to go Saturday but I woke up late (as per usual) and then you know that glance when your eye contact says nah we're not going out are we (eye contact can say a lot I swear..)

My right eye is still worse but get this..my left eye is trying to catch up on how bad my right eye is. Just what I wanted to hear (note the obvious sarcasm) I tried on a few pairs but I didn't really love/even like any and the converse pair I have now were still there so I stuck with them. I've had them for less than a year so I thought why not, I have to go back 1 year later anyway so I can always get a new pair then. I got some Rayban sunglasses as well which is cool, my mum wanted to do it before I was 18 so it saves money. I wanted tinted lenses but they only did grade 1 which doesn't protect your eyes at all. So I'll save tinted sunglasses for another time, don't you think blue or pink tinted sunglasses look awesome?!

There was a Sunday market on today and me and my mum got ponchos which I love. As I was walking away, the woman ran after me and said oh I forgot to give you this. It was this cute handmade lavender heart which would have cost £7 how lovely is that!!

This is when I wish there was some sort of 4D experience with blogging because wow the lavender smells amazing!

Obviously if you don't like lavender than fair enough but if you do then you're missing out



I'm gonna end this post the only way I know how. With another cute picture of smudge, I swear most of my camera roll is of smudge (I'm probably gonna end up like a crazy cat lady but I'm starting to accept it) Here she is after she just jumped into one of my bags.

shopping at Kurt Geiger isn't a regular thing, there was a sale and I needed prom shoes so I took advantage.

Also did you like my prom shoes?
I really like them as they were block heels so they weren't that high (meaning I could actually walk in them unlike half the other girls in my year..)

I loved the lace pattern as well which made it more interesting, I don't like basic high heels if I'm honest.
