Happy Easter

Hey guys,

So by now you'll have finished for Easter yay (if you're at uni like me), unlucky for you guys working or at school, hang in there!!

Finally the weather has begun to feel more like Spring, although apparently the beast from the east is set to make a return on easter sunday so can't wait for that..

So recently I've been putting all my favourite holiday pictures from when I went to Italy into one folder as I'm creating a photobook. I found this one which my dad actually took but I love it, it's from this beautiful lit up restaurant outside in the garden area bit:
Last Tuesday, I went to see Sam Smith with my friend from uni and wow he was phenomenal. Obviously before we were hungry so we went to Ask Italian. It was the nicest one I'd been too, Sheffield rates well in comparison to Harrogate.
We got fancy pasta it was delicious, the healthiest meal I'd had in a while..
We then couldn't resist the puddings as they had a chocolate one where when you poured hot caramel sauce over it, it melted.

Sam Smith's new album is amazing you should definitely give it a listen! He sang old songs and obviously new songs too. I loved his stage set up too as he had quotes on the screen by people like Steven Hawking. So sad to hear of his death recently but his whole life was a miracle with living that long after the doctors only thinking he'd live for a few more years. He was an incredible man. I sidetracked, so here's the set up:
Cut to Wednesday and my mum and I went to harrogate as I had a chiropody appointment. I got special insoles to help my feet as I inherited the worst feet from my mum and eyesight too...what a lovely gift.

Then on Friday we went to my favourite cafe in York called Lucky Days where we had lunch. I was back in York for volunteering training then on sunday I'm back in York as well as I have volunteering on monday morning. Currently I'm attempting to do my assignment and regretting I left it to now because I severely underestimated it, old english is not fun..

Here's me enjoying my food, I had the most amazing blackberry and rhubarb crumble! (Ignore the bad lighting)..yes I'm wearing friends merch
Last but not least, here's the pretty spring flowers beside the York cathedral:
Right I better get back to my assignment which is due on Thursday!
Hope you all have a good week :)

Spring Flowers

Hey everyone,

Sorry I missed a week, it was because it was mother's day and I went back home to surprise my mum and I didn't have time to write my post.

But I'm back baby, I doubt you've missed me but anyway lets get into it..

Me and my mum and dad went to yo sushi for mother's day it was so good and obviously I snapped some cute pictures of my cat.

On Friday I went to pizza express with my friend to see her before we both went home. I wore my favourite tartan dress, we had such a good laugh too:
Then on Saturday I went out again with my course mate who I'm living with next year, we went to the most amazing tapas restaurant called el piano. If you're ever in York you need to go, I had the best fritatas and strawberry lemonade mm.
It was such a cool place, we had the whole upstairs to ourselves too.

Now that it's Spring (I know it doesn't feel like it) it's time to get the daffodils out yay:
We also have these beautiful pink lilies:
So the beast from the east has returned, look at all the snow..
Now the best way to end a post is to show another picture of my cat posing:
Enjoy next week! I'll talk to you all soon,
Byeeee,
Sophie

PS:  I started volunteering last week and I love it, if you ever get the opportunity definitely do it, it's so worth it! I volunteer with Speak with IT which is a speech therapy aphasia/stroke charity

Snow Crazy in UK

Hey guys,

So it's March and it's snowed way more than it ever did in December. I do love the snow but it annoys me we never get a white Christmas in December. It is so picturesque though!

You know me I took a lot of pictures of the snow, or the beast from the east as people seem to be calling it. Storm Emma is a ferocious one, I just love the names of storms as if they're people. It can't get better than Storm Doris though can it!?
These are pictures from Tuesday when the snow wasn't as full on..but the sky was pretty! (Yep that tiny dot is the moon)

Overnight it snowed loads so Wednesday I took even more pictures (surprise surprise..)
As I recently got my polaroid camera for Christmas I've been loving taking lots of pictures and taking a picture of them on my phone doesn't do them justice really.
It was still heavy on Thursday so I didn't go to my seminar or lecture but with the strike going on as well it's not really a big deal. I get why lecturers are striking as they'll lose so much money for their pension but at the same time it's annoying for us..which yes is the point. I don't have 9am lectures anymore as my lecturer is striking, there's always a positive;)

So in my uni house we're all obsessed with inflatables and I saw one on missguided for a tenner on sale so I thought why not. Here it is in all it's glory:
Doesn't it just go perfectly with our watermelon, I didn't realise it was that big if I'm honest though, oops...

Right so that's it! Hope you've all had a good week and a fun weekend. If not I'll be back next Sunday to hopefully cheer you up..

Byeeee,
Sophie
