Hey guys!
So I cant believe I'm saying this but I had my leavers assembly last Wednesday and now I've offically left school, those 2 years of sixthform went suprisingly fast! It was a good last day though, a lot of people did cry but I didn't! (kinda an achievement really) Although I didn't cry leaving year 11 but that was probably because I knew most of my friends would be staying on at sixthform. I do remember crying my eyes out on my last day of primary school though as all my friends were going to a different school and I only knew 1 friend going to Rossett (sad times I know..but I still keep in touch with my best friend from primary school who lives in India now, we're still going strong)
I had my last psychology lessson on Tuesday and our teachers suprised us with sweets, a highlighter and a cute individual note! We were all so shocked but I was left feeling so happy after reading my note, here's why:
Isn't that so sweet of them?!
Even though they compared me to a turtle or something ugh teachers always do that, I still appreciate that because it is true my confidence has grown massively due to them and sixthform.
I hadn't realised how long I hadn't had a bath for but do you remember the unicorn bubble bar, well I still haven't used that and it's best before 24th of march oops. Even worse the intergalactic bath bomb I bought ages ago was from so long ago that the date and description had worn off, although lets be honest unless you leave bath bombs for years they can't really go off...can they?! So of course I took pictures after dropping it into the bath (I even took a picture before and filmed it go in..yep I know I go a bit over the top, but doesn't everyone;) It turned out so cool, look:
This was the aftermath of my bath..
I didn't reaslise how glittery it was afer, so I ended up scrubbing the bath to get the glitter off but it's worth it as it was an amazing bath bomb.
If you love colorful bath bombs then I'd highly recommend this!
I love lush (not a big fan of their prices) but the bath bombs and soaps are amazing.
So yesterday I went into town (Leeds) to meet up with my friend that I met at a concert who I then stayed in touch with on twitter, so we were reuinted after 1 year how cool is that! I honestly love the internet, you're always warned about it as a kid but omg I have made some of my closest friends on the internet and in general just people who make me happy, shoutout to them! (you know who you are..don't mean to sound creepy)
She went off to the slam dunk festival but that sort of music isn't what I'm in too so before I went home I wanted to buy some rings. Recently I've fallen in love with rings, I already had one daisy ring which I'm pretty sure I've already shown you but I wanted more. I bought this beautiful leaf ring from accessorize for only £4 which was good then I went into a shop called Azendi and they were having a 50% sale (it was meant to be;) I found two really cute rings, one bow ring and the other a star ring, here is how my right hand is looking right now, I just love tham all!
The daisy ring is from a jewellery shop called Argent.
The star and the bow ring is from a jewellery shop called Azendi.
The leaf ring is from Acccessorize.
Now before I get back to revision, I wanted to show you my pretty flashcards for criminal psychology, honestly making my revision pretty is what gets me through it! So if you want motivation to continue your revision, then just make pretty revision notes (as long as that helps you, I know it may not but if it does then go for it)
You must admit they look pretty..I love how I'm actually proud of my flashcards. You know what, whatever helps you revise you just gotta run with it, flashcards are 100% the best way for me. I hope you're all geting on well with your revision and your exams are going well! If you're one of those people that have already finished then ugh you suck! (joking I'm just extremely jealous..)
Wow so I didn't realise how long this post was going to be, guess I did a lot in the last week. Right I'm off for lunch then more revision..YAYY (pls notice the sarcasm..)
Good luck with your revision and your exams!
Talk to you next Sunday, byeee

1 Exam Down - 3 To Go
Hey guys! (Yep that indented spacing bugs me too)
So on Sunday I managed to get up at 10:55 which is an achievement for me. I was just tweeting about how I just don't get why people voluntarily get up at 7/8/9 like I struggle to get up by 10.
(I wrote this on Sunday as you can tell)
I'm feeling better about my exam as I did a couple of exam papers after revising last week. My teacher marked them and I got an A and a B, so happy! I just need to make sure I'm over the grade boundary between a C and a B. Now I've moved to being between a B and a A which is amazing. I just need to go over my flash cards a final time and then do all the multiple choice questions to make sure I get them all right.
Also, guess what?!
I leave school next Wednesday! How weird is that, after 17 years of being in education in a school environment that's it. I know I'm going to uni after but that will be totally different. It's a weird mixed emotions feeling, sometimes I feel sad because even though sixthform was stressful I still enjoyed it (sorta) and school in general with the amazing friends I've made. So it'll be sad to leave all those good memories (and a lot of bad but still) behind. Then other times I feel quite happy that I'll never be in school again and as scary it'll be I think it will be exciting to make a fresh start and make new friends at uni (hopefully I'll make friends..)
This photo of the pretty red sunset was taken a few weeks ago but I couldn't not take a picture so:
I don't know if you guys have been watching once upon a time?! The season 5 finale has just aired on Netlfix and wow it was amazing! Apparently it received the highest views so far from this series, I don't wanna spoil it in case you haven't watched it but the character they brought back made me so excited! See I didn't spoil it;)
Apologies for not posting this yesterday but I was very stressed and had loads of revision to do so I was full on in revision mode (yep that's now a thing) Now I can update you straight away on how it went, well I actually think it went okay! I don't wanna jinx it but I definitely think it was easier than last years paper which was good. The 12 marker was on describing and evaluating the biological explanation of gender and I wrote the full 3 pages which they provided, so that has to be a good thing. I was going to read a book on Dibs but now I'm glad I didn't as nothing came up on Dibs, for once something worked in my favour.
So yeah, that's my resit out of the way and now to focus on my A2 exams, luckily my next exam isn't until the 8th June so I have lots of time to revise.
To end on something cute incase any of you are having a bad day, this is what my cat does when she wants to come inside and I look and knock on the window. It's the cutest thing she just looks up at me and miows, so adorable. Cats are great. That is all..
I'll talk to you soon

I've Finished My Photography A Level
Hey people!
So my first exam is in like 2 weeks and I'm freaking out. You know when you get to the point when your current mood is 99.9% stressed well yep that's me right now (that 0.9% when I'm not stressed is when I have time so I'm watching Netflix;)
As you'll have read from the title, I've finally finished all my exam and coursework for my photography. So I've officially finished my Photography a level which is kinda weird to say?!
I am desperately hoping to get an A because I put so much work into both my exam and coursework I would be disappointed if I got lower. As I said last week I did take a picture of my work on the wall, although I had to take it from an angle so I could fit it all in the picture. What do you think?
For my final piece I made (with the help of my dad) a mobile to hang my acetate cylinders on (at the bottom right of the picture) which sir said he would help me hang up above my work which would be pretty cool. Especially as my work is by a window and so it would look intentional that it was hung there as I originally wanted to put a light inside them so yay, you know sometimes things do work out for the best in the end! Moral of the story is that if things don't go your way immediately it doesn't mean they won't in the end! (Just trying to spread optimism around)
Talking of optimism, one of my favourite youtubers called Hannah Hart started mentioning the phrase reckless optimism and I really love it. I think more people should aspire to be reckless optimists because honestly people who are pessimists put more energy in being negative whereas if they actually put the same energy into something positive then they could create something pretty awesome! So if you remember anything from my post, please remember this! (I'm no expert, I'm just a gal trying to help people on the internet to be more happy)
Yesterday we got something in the post which was an amazing surprise. I found out my dad was one of the first to sign up to receive a free box of hotel chocolat thanks to British Gas and they all looked so good. If you payed for them it would have been at least £8 so yeah I'm well happy (of course I took a picture just look mmm)
Sorry for the food porn but honestly sorry not sorry, chocolate makes everything better though doesn't it?!
As I said at the start, I have my first exam soon which is my psychology resit. So far I have revised the learning and the biological approach so I just have 1 more approach to revise which is good. Then I can start doing exam papers from what I actually know, rather than from using textbooks which isn't useful close to an exam. I'm nervous but just hoping for the best you know.
So I'm sure most of you will have watched the Eurovision last night? I mean how amazing was it, it just makes me laugh to see what cheesy song the UK are singing this year, this year's wasn't actually too bad though. It was 2 guys from the voice which makes me happy because everyone always claims people from the voice go nowhere after (which is sorta true as I can't even remember who won last year never mind way back) but this time they had made it to the final of Eurovision which is an achievement. I love how everyone was comparing Australia to the guy on mean girls where everyone is like 'you don't even go here' in the most sassy way possible. They nearly won as well and they aren't even part of Europe which was so typical but in the end I feel like more people were happy Australia didn't win than happy that Ukraine did.
Graham Norton's comments throughout makes Eurovision though, it just wouldn't be the same without him! He was talking about this girl from Germany (I think) and said honestly I don't think there's one thing about her that doesn't annoy me. I mean come on she did look like she just raided Claires..
Anyway moving on from my rant about Eurovision, but first I apologise from anyone reading this from America because I feel like you all must be so confused about this?!
(basically it's a song contest between 26 countries and the aim is to unite the world but instead the voting system is always bias to other countries neighbours and previous wars..sounds fun I know..)
I wish you all huge luck for your revision because I feel you, revision is tough. Just think about how happy you'll be when you get good grades but then also (just gonna contradict myself..) remember grades aren't everything in life! Your mental health is way more important.
This post has been very motivational, I kinda like it
So I'll talk to you all soon!

Time Needs To Chill
Hey everyone!
Hope your week was alright!
It's weird how fast this week has gone, don't you think?! I didn't end up spending last Monday doing revision for my resit as I planned but I'm feeling better about it now as I've gone through all my learning approach flash cards. Just two more approaches to do then I can start doing past papers again which is good. It's worse for my A2 psychology as I've been set so many exam papers by my teachers but I need time to actually go over the content again which I haven't had time to do because I've been having to do the papers (using marks schemes & books) so they have evidence of us revising. Revision is so stressful sometimes.
Guess what..
By Monday I'll have finished my photography exam!! Then by next Friday I'll have finished all my photography coursework I am so happy! It has taken so much of my time and effort and it'll be done soon yess. Most of my work (apart from my final piece) is all up in school but I forgot to take a picture. So you can look forward to seeing that soon (you probably don't care but thought I'd show you anyway)
My school prom will be after my exams and this makes me excited because it means I have an excuse to buy something from Ariana Grande's gorgeous summer lipsy range! Even though it is still expensive, some of the dresses I've been looking at are cheaper than my year 11 prom dress which is good! My favourite is the 'Organza Trim Prom Dress' but I just don't know if it will suit me, all I know is that it looks so pretty! My other favourite is the 'Lace Prom Dress' but I might have to order online as I don't know if lipsy are putting her range in any stores near me. I hope so because it will make life a lot easier with trying things on but if not then I'll just have to order both dresses online and hope they don't cost too much for returning.
After having a cactus for a few years I've come to realise that it's the best plant to have. Some people think they aren't pretty but my one I'll show you now is so pretty when it flowers, requires so little effort to keep alive and keeps reviving every year. Below are the pictures I took from last year and then some I took a few weeks ago this year. Some are yet to flower so it doesn't look as dramatic as the first picture.
I had the cutest pot that my cactus was in omg I loved it but this year I had to put it in a bigger pot so I could no longer use that pot..sad times
So I'm feeling much more positive about my English exam now as recently we did our first child acquisition mock in class without prepping the transcript the lesson before (basically like doing a mock) It was from the spoken section which is the one I'm 99% sure I'll do in the exam, the other choices are either from the reading or the written section but there's a lot less to write about them. Anyway to skip to the main point, I got 40 in total which was an A!!! (yep those 3 !!! are very necessary before you ask..) 36 was an A so I'm still so happy because I revised for it and it payed off, see some of the time revision is worth it! (Only some of the time tho;)
In typical me style, I just had to google where I went earlier on today..getting so forgetful it's kinda bad. Anyway I went with my parents to Neil and Heather's art exhibition in Harefield Hall which was a nice break from revision. Oooh and the best bit was that we went to a pancake cafe in the town pateley bridge (might be wrong but it was definitely near there) and I had smoked salmon and cream cheese it was good. I would have gotten sweet but it was lunch so I thought I better try to be healthy (for once in my life) and I had this smoothie which was nice but actually wasn't that strong of a flavour..I could have done with more berries (apparently I have a standard for smoothies, no but for real I expect it to be amazing and it wasn't ugh)
Took some pictures because the place was pretty cute, don't you think?!
Here's me chilling with the flowers because why not, also excuse my hair I just shoved it into a bun and then hoped for the best (pretty much my routine in the morning for school ha)
Good luck with your revision and remember to take
some time to chill out and relax during the stressful exam season!
Well then, I'll talk again next week!

Snow in April?!
Hey guys!
Hope you're all okay and if not then quick reminder that tomorrow is a new day and you don't know the possibilities that day will hold for you!
So this week started off interesting as it has been snowing, hailing, been sunny and then back to rain again?! I think British weather is just as confused as students are at exam time.. On Friday I woke up to snow and it was the weirdest thing as it's April so you obviously don't expect that but look:
^I put it this size as I know my mum is very proud of the front garden, it does look cute though.
< This is mine and my neighbours back garden, it is so weird seeing snow in April..
I don't know why I still get surprised as British weather is always messed up. Guess I should just be used to it now, gotta love it sometimes as I'm so not used to sun I can't cope sometimes even if it's just like 17 degrees (if you're from America or other hot countries that's probably normal for you..)
So it's the 1st of May today which means I have my first exam this month...it was nice knowing you (pls send help I don't wanna do it) I'm sure you're all thinking the same but it's my psychology resit of unit 2 first which I haven't done as much revision for. This Monday is a bank holiday so I've decided I'm gonna spend the day going over unit 2 stuff. Let's hope I remember more stuff because I need a B..the only reason I'm resitting is because I got 1 UMS mark off a B last year I mean how awful is that?!
Moving on from exam talk ew, it's my 18th birthday 17th July and my phone contract has just run out and I've asked for an iPhone SE in rose gold and I think my parents are actually gonna get me one omg I'm so happy! I love the concept that it's the same pocket sized phone but has the more advanced set up of an iPhone 6. I also feel like once you buy one apple product it's hard to switch to another make as everything links so easily. I guess that's how they hook you in but I honestly wouldn't wanna switch, just the style of everything Apple is so beautiful and simple I love it.
Enough about Apple, so luckily the final deadline for my photography exam is next Friday not the one just gone. I'm aiming to have done all my preparation for Tuesday and then I might just have my final piece to finish so then I can straight away start doing my coursework improvements. Did I tell you sir marked my work and I'm on a B and only 4 marks off an A so I only have a few things to improve!! (YASSS..mini celebration over now..)
For my final piece idea I'm doing 3 shots of my friend jumping in sequence with double exposure of car light trails I took. Printing them on acetate and rolling it up into a cylinder and then putting a light in between to light it up. So hopefully my friend will be jumping when you roll it! (Totally didn't copy & paste this text from earlier when I was talking to my friend..I'm lazy okay)
I am really happy with it though, I just hope it turns out as I'm imagining it in my head. It's definitely better than last year where I just merged 2 images and sir thought that was amazing and I got an A soo if it works I'm really hoping I get an A overall because I've worked so hard for photography!
Quick rant but people say photography is nothing compared to art and that it is way easier but honestly that is complete bullshit. If some of the people that do art for example saw my coursework booklet and saw how much work and effort I put in then they'd awkwardly realise oh yeah it does require as much work then an art a level. Technically it is art anyway as our a level is called art and design-photography' sooo (rolls eyes..I get passionate about stuff I believe in and work hard for you know)
Right so time for me to start work for today, after I watch something on tv first..I mean priorities right;)
Good luck with your revision and general work for your job/uni etc!
Talk very soon

Sophie
