Hey people!
(hey from currently editing this sophie..I wrote this like 1 week ago oops but I'm trying)
Guess who's back at the blogging game again, well obviously that's me. As usual I've left it to the last minute to write this as I'm off back to uni today aka just editing this now and I'm back. I've been back home for just over a week which has been so good to just relax at home with my family.
(looks back through my phone photos to see what I did..yes I live vicariously through my pictures and what, don't judge I bet you do it too;)
Given that I live in Leeds well mostly York now but it varies. So I finally went to visit the new John Lewis shopping centre to see what it was like.
Especially as I took pictures of the progress of the building at the start for my photography a level.
Of course I'm gonna show you some pictures but yeah it was architecturally such a cool building and even inside as well.
At the start of the 2nd term we all had our formatives (basically just exams that don't count) but surprisingly I only failed one of my modules and got the equivalent of a first in phonetics and phonology!
Anyway now back to my room...
I added this cool bottle which I got from one of my friends as a christmas present, so cute right!?
(it says friends together..you laugh I cry, you cry I cry, you fall I fall..over laughing)
Below are a couple of pictures of dogs but hold up while I explain as they aren't random..I have a story
So as I said it was exam week where some people unlike me actually had proper exams so as part of York uni's anti-stress week they brought in dogs from this charity. Isn't that the best, so obviously me and my flatmates had to go (yes had to)
So I have a funny story to tell you, so I came out of my bathroom (I have an ensuite if you didn't know) and I saw something flying around in my room. At first I thought it was a moth but nope it was a butterfly. Like how did it even get in my room?? I never have my window open..Anyway so it was like half 1 in the morning as I just finished working late (that's right..dedicated student right here) so I tried to catch it. This took way too long as it was flying everywhere. At one point in my delirious tired state I was pointing it to the window, forgetting my curtains were open so people opposite must have loved my breakdown. Eventually I caught it in my mug and carried it to my window which opened the smallest amount so it nearly flew back in (I was so done at the point) 30 minutes later I could finally sleep in peace, moral of the story is that you never know what challenges you'll face at uni but if I can catch a butterfly at 2am then you'll be alright;)
Now it's time to show you the nicest pizza ever, so me and my friend discovered this study place called the Ron Cooke Hub which is even better than the library as there's always space. They do the best BBQ pizza mmmm
Just picture homer simpson drooling because that is what I look like right now.

At least this is better quality than the picture below, I adore sunsets! |

Excuse my shitty iPhone quality I wish it was better but aren't the colours so pretty over the lake.
So I was gonna post several selfies but I don't wanna be that vain on the internet, also the reason why I've only posted 1 selfie on Instagram (I know..am I really a girl though) Instead I'm gonna try to add a fashion page so you can see what I love to wear aka a new look/topshop page etc.
So, throwback to Refreshers week (basically round 2 of freshers week) The first night was themed so everyone wore white t-shirts and everyone had to decorate them. This is how mine ended up when I let my flatmates take over (ignore the fact my name is spelt wrong..do I care?! noo never..I mean it is a really difficult name to spell *rolls eyes to the back of my skull*)
Actually screw that, blogger won't upload it without the images being the size of my blog. Just imagine a shirt saying tea not dinner (breakfast lunch and tea!!), grammar is life, sopie (I mean cmon), their there they're damn it (truth) and hardcore northern lass (yep that's right).
Okay so here are some of my favourite pictures I took when I went out with Photography Society to this place called The Quiet Place. I used my canon DSLR of course and someone swung a fire stick around and then some glowsticks, my favourite part is the pretty reflection.
Can you work out what this says? (hint what did I take..)
Okay, that's it don't worry!
Now to some exciting news! So me, my course mate and her flatmate have found a house for next year! We've already signed the agreement, payed a £60 admin fee and a £300 loan. It's actually a bungalow but it's honestly nicer than any of the actual houses we saw like the kitchens were tiny and grimy whereas our kitchen is huge and we have a nice living room, nice bedrooms and a garden (our garden is gonna look amazing)
So here are the pictures I took, they're better than the ones they put online (throwing shade everywhere) but I was the one that found our house which makes me feel happy.
Side note: my bedroom picture has a random guy in (who was currently living there) so I'll just show you when we officially move in. (sorry about the pixelated images)
This is our living room! This is our kitchen!
Finally this is our garden
Oh yeah I nearly forgot to show you the front!
This may seem random but this is what happens to the poor ducks when the lake freezes over aw
Haven't posted a food picture in a while, so to get it back to what's important. When I went home for reading week I went out with my family to Pizza Express (it is reasonably priced when you have tesco vouchers, shoutout to tesco) and I had my first calzone which was amazing!
So in light of current world events that's been happening, I need to post this.
"BUILD BRIDGES NOT WALLS"
Just in case any idiot who reads my blog supports trump because thanks but no thanks, come back to me when you have changed your morals. My uni student elections have been going on and someone wrote this on a sign, isn't that great!!
Slightly irrelevant point but I joined Cat Society 1st term and it's the best thing, at the end of term we are off to Manchester to visit the cat cafe!! I am so excited ahh
Wow sorry for the long post but you'll be happy to know I'm done! Looks like you're all caught up with my life. (unfortunately you can't get this time back unless you have amnesia in which case, the joke's on you)
Hope you're enjoying school/uni/work as much as possible.
I promise I will talk sooner after this!
I'm off back home march 18th!! So see you then
Sophie
♥♥
PS: I'm dying to show you my decorated wall but blogger is being a pain so hopefully you'll see soon.
