Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hey everyone,

I can't believe it's christmas eve already and for some of you it may be christmas day how cool!

Hope everyone has an amazing day tomorrow and for the next few days.

I watched the holiday today so I'm happy (amazing film, definitely go watch it if you haven't seen it!)

Recently I've been catching up with friends as much as I can while I'm back home so last Tuesday I went ice skating in Stockeld park with my friend which was fun. I loved the lights in the trees:
Then on Wednesday I went to see pitch perfect 3 with my other friend who I hadn't seen in ages. I loved the film, if you've seen/loved the other 2 (and even if you haven't) you need to go see the 3rd one. Quite sad it's the last one but it ended well.
So we found a santa and being the big kids we are we had to get a picture in it..
Every year I always decorate my own little pink tree, so here's it all decorated (isn't the best but hey it's christmas who cares) I do love my sparkly baubles..can you tell I like pink
Guys I got my christmas nails done!! They're so sparkly but I added more gold glitter (updated pic on the left) when I got back because I just can't help being that extra:

Last but not least (before I join my fam and play bananarama which is basically quick fun scrabble) here's the yule log I made today as I don't like christmas cake (I know..judge me all you want)

Tadaaahhhh, I'm actually really happy with how it turned out! What do you think? Anyone else just prefer to eat chocolate cake, I just feel like you can't go wrong:
Right I better go now and join in on the christmas festivities before christmas tomorrow, hope you all have a lovely time as it is meant to be the most wonderful time of the year (yes I am quoting christmas songs alright)

Leeds Cat Cafe/Christmas Tree Reveal

Hey guys,

Yep I'm back at it again.

I may get distracted by the apprentice final as it starts soon (understatement of the year I watched it all it was so good)

Okay so I have this cute picture of Smudge with our christmas penguin we bring out every year I just have to show you first:
Right so remember I said I'd show you our finished christmas tree well just look at this. It's nearly 9ft!!
When we went to Stockeld park to get one, we were being picky choosing so the guy took us out back at the new ones they'd just got in which was cool. I obviously picked the bushiest one, what do you think?!
So the reason we can have such big trees is because I live in an old Victorian house so we have really high ceilings which I love because it means big ass christmas trees can fit in our house.
So when you're older and choosing houses, make sure you look and make sure the ceilings are high enough to be able to have a big tree, I mean it's the priority right;)

When I went to London me and my friends had a pre christmas celebration as she lives so far away I won't see her for ages. So we exchanged presents and she got me a cactus decoration (I kinda have an obsession with cacti..I have about 4 on my windowsill at uni)..also here's a close up on cool baubles!
Okay so disclaimer..I know I look like an idiot here but I actually don't have another picture of the lit up tree on it's own. We all have cosy days, right?! (don't ask why I'm also holding my laptop..) I do love a onesie even if they've probably gone off trend and out of fashion but who cares! (I'm a zebra if you can't guess)
So this is what the tree looks like in the dark, all the lights are so pretty! It does sorta disappear into darkness at the end oops (it needs a hell of a lot of lights okay)
This Friday I went to the newly opened cat cafe (well actually called kitty cafe) in Leeds with my mum and dad. You can't expect anything less from me of course. Dunno if you've noticed but that was the 3rd cat cafe I've been too (I may be a bit keen..) My aim is to go to them all in UK but they're becoming more popular so lets see how that goes. Apparently they have dog cafes now too, how cute does that sound! (I'm a cat person but I love dogs and most animals too)
You ready to see the cute cats? So there were 12 in total but there is gonna be 30 so I'll probably be going back with a friend instead. (there's more cuteness on my insta)
So here we are, up to date! Last but not least here's our newly decorated bannisters with tinsel and lights at the bottom. Our house is so festive right now I love it.
That's it for now I'm sure most of you will be off from school/uni/work by now (unless you work in retail/nhs etc which sucks so good luck with that)

Hope you're enjoying the Christmas holidays and are getting into the festive spirit, I'll talk to you soon.
Byeeeee,
Sophie
PS..ignore the fact it's technically not Sunday anymore as it's after midnight in the UK but for people elsewhere it won't be..I'm doing this for you;)

Weekend In London

Hey guys,

Yeah I'm back again on a Sunday, look at me go;)

So I came back from uni on Tuesday for christmas holidays how exciting! (Yes I'm lucky to break up early this term)

Then last Wednesday me, my mum and my dad went to our favourite cafe in Harrogate called Baltzersens. The heart waffles were delicious, I dipped it in salted caramel too mm am I making you hungry
Later on, my friend from uni stayed over, we went to see Paddington 2 which was amazing, such a feel good film, so funny! Then we just chilled and played the wii (yep I still have a wii, they'll never get old)

The next morning on Thursday we made wreaths with my mum at her art class which was fun. It saves so much money as well, as you can often end up spending loads on a shitty tacky wreath.

Here are our wreaths:
Can you guess which one is mine?

...

the suspense is killing you I'm sure...more like a curiosity than actually wanting to know but same thing right?!

So the right one is mine and the left one is my friends, I made a heart using twigs I felt like one of those obnoxious pinterest diy's that says it takes minutes but actually tastes hours..(this was actually pretty simple) It's already on the back of the door as you come into the house I love it, then my mums is outside as she made a huge one.
I added some dried citrus as well which smells so good and reminds me of christmas, I got a bag of them from the York Christmas market.

Now fast forward to Friday night I was on the way to London with my friend from home to see our internet friend (yes that's a real thing people, keep up) so we stayed over at hers and then went to winter wonderland yesterday!!

Well I realised how big Hyde Park was, it was absolutely packed as it was a Saturday so we kinda went on probably one of the busiest days but oh well. It was so worth it, I loved it! We went on a few of the rides it was so fun (may have screamed a bit loud oops)

I have already posted lots on insta already (priority when you go anywhere these days) but here's some more I took of the pretty lights:

Yes I'm aware this is a christmas tree not a light but it's full of flowers I thought it was so pretty! The full picture and one of me with it is on justsoph_x (wow who knew I was such a tease;)

Do you ever just wonder what is our generation is. I know I rely on my phone way too much but it's just hard to even go a day without it like sometimes I just love switching off my phone to switch off from life, may sound weird but you know when you just need a break from everything.

This is a short post for me but one last thing I have to say, so you know that presentation I was dreading well I only went and got 95/100! Like how insane is that I didn't expect that, we're still waiting for them to count in our own feedback too but yeah I'm so happy we did well.

Right so just you wait until next week as we put up our christmas tree today and wow it's big (I'm talking nearly 9ft big..) it is amazing but we've only just started putting lights up so once it's all decorated I'll take pictures to show you.

Okay so talk next week, hope you're managing to enjoy the christmas joy (unless you're a scrooge in which case just go back to bed or something..

Byeeee,
Sophie
PS: our train was cancelled on the way there and then delayed on the way back, realising now why people hate public transport so much..what a joke it is!

Museum Gardens In York

Hey,

What a surprise I'm actually posting on a Sunday, see sometimes I can be organised!

So since last week I've done my presentation that I was dreading and in the end it wasn't too bad. It was just because I had never done one before so I didn't know what to expect. Luckily it was quite informal but still nerve wracking for me as I'm not a confident speaker at the best of times.

It was filmed though so our lecturer and seminar tutor can watch it back when they're marking which is intimidating but I'm proud of myself for doing it as I panicked before in the morning. DONE WITH NOW HALLELUJAH.

^Last Tuesday I went to Cosmo with everyone from PhotoSoc which was nice as it was pretty beside the river. It was all buffet food so it was so nice, such a lovely way to end the term. (Yes we were doing origami because why not..well I wasn't but it makes me wanna learn how too)

Love how early York uni finishes term for Christmas, it's because our term is condensed and then we have more free time to revise which is good. I had my last lecture last Friday how exciting! Bring on Christmas now.

We've started decorating now, how festive!
Guys who live in the UK/anywhere where it may have snowed, I can't believe it actually snowed on Thursday! I met up with my friend I haven't seen in ages and it was like a winter wonderland shopping in the christmas market whilst it was snowing. Can you tell I love snow..?!
This was the aftermath in our garden on Friday:
You know I love a good sunset, look how pretty it was:
After our last lecture we went to a few house viewings and yesterday I rang up and we all payed the £60 deposits. We still need to sign the tenancy online but that won't be until tomorrow, at least we won't be homelesss phew as I recently got an email saying our house was let for next year (just what I  wanted..) Oh well maybe it's for the best as it'll be nice to live in a house next year rather than a bungalow.

Baking is known to help bake your problems away right well that's what my housemate did and she made these, this was during the house stress but look how cute the cupcake cases are:
Last but not least I went to York's museum gardens (I'm that keen I went before with my friend), it's ridiculously expensive but then again kinda worth it. It's like a christmassy light trail.

Here are some of the pictures I took on my camera then edited, enjoy my pic overload:
Right I better go as I wanna see if I can catch the supermoon which is apparently tonight (basically a bigger moon than normal) you know me I gotta be the first to get some snaps.

Hope you all have a good christmas holiday/hang in there if you're still working or at uni/school still.

Byeeeee,
Sophie
