Autumn Begins

Hey guys!

I'm back and wow feeling the stress of sixthform properly starting all over again, just have to learn to take my own & other people's advice and not let the little things get to me. Anxiety is a bitch though, I just have to learn how to manage it but sometimes it just seems to have a life of its own and I've realised how hard I find it to talk about things like anxiety. Whenever my anxiety is sky high I just seem to go inactive, anyone else just prefer not to talk about it as the more you do the more anxious you get? Hoping it's not just me but I'd prefer to tweet about stuff that I'm exited about as if you get in a conversation with me about once upon a time I could honestly rant for days but when someone asks me about dealing with my anxiety I just curl into my shell and I'm like "erm yeah so..words you know them" and then leave idk.

I know people have different ways with dealing with stress but I prefer not to talk about it too much and get distracted with something else. You know?! I feel like I might not be making much sense but hopefully you get my drift ha. I've realised that's why I love to retweet stuff so much because then I can use other people's quotes to explain how I'm feeling instead (useful life hack if someone asks you how you feel).
So Autumn has officially begun!! I absolutely love the change in colours of everything in nature, the deep red colours in leaves and the surroundings are just so tumblr (I use tumblr to describe so many things but yet I don't even have an account as it just confuses me). Although I've never really tried I just prefer looking at tumblr accounts on Twitter (shoutout to the account sincerelytumblr..seriously go check it out) I could spend hours just reading them I relate so much, this is one of my many personal favourites:

Someone asked "why do mums put dishes away so loudly?"
Someone replied "to let you know no one helps out around the house"

Cat videos are my favourite as well, helps that I'm a cat person so I just find everything a cat does so much cuter, but even dog people must admit they are so funny/cute to watch. Bringing it back to Autumn or Fall time if you're American, here are some autumnal pictures I took today for my photography but I just love them (but by next week I'll guarantee I'll be sick of everything autumn because of doing it as part of my a level). That's the thing (one of the many things) that annoy me about school you start off with a subject you love but the stress that gets thrown at us all is just so off putting and makes you hate something you once loved. That's why I'm pretty sure I wanna keep photography as a hobby rather than a job because I do honestly love it but I would never want to end up hating it and seeing it as work (got a bit deep there sorry I'll put my snorkel away haha..again I apologise for my 'jokes';)
^I was holding the leaf which would have made it even more tumblr but I had to crop my fingers out because you know when you've had nail polish on for over a week & it's in that awkward in-between stage when you know you need to take them off & paint them again but don't because it's effort..yep well that's how my nails look at the moment. Just painting the picture for you guys (get it 'painting' yep I'm sorry I'll stop..)

I was literally just walking around my garden with the same leaf making sure it was lit up by sunlight as I don't have an expensive hotshoe flash (I think it's called) to use so photography tip to save money: use natural sunlight but anyway..
Talk next Sunday!

Just Hanging On

Hey people!
I'm back and still not feeling 100% but I'm just hanging through it. Just at the really awkward in between stage where you slowly start to get better but then you wake up the next day & it seems worse than ever. Credit to my dad but it (he) made me realise that there are 3 stages of a cold (this is when you know I've run out of good content sorryy)
1- when you start to get a sore throat..that basically means get ready to feel like crap overall
2- when your nose starts to run like it's trying to be the next usain bolt (my attempt of a funny joke)
3- when you start to get a really bad cough and potentially lose your voice
Thankfully I'm at the last stage now but it's the worst when you're in lesson and you start to lose your voice but it's quiet so you don't wanna cough...just the daily struggles of life you know.

So I got my hair dyed more blonde again last Tuesday and this time it's so much more visible which is good. So when I want to dye the ends of my hair pink & purple like I planned last summer (it just failed because my hair was too dark) this time it will work yess. I wouldn't talk about anything without a photo as well so:

As I haven't been too well recently, I wanted to go on a colour run with my friends but it is today and I would just make myself way more ill as it does include a lot of running (obviously) as well as getting covered in a ridiculous amount of colour. Damn..oh well it'll come around again and I'll make sure I'll do it then.

Yesterday I went to my auntie's and uncle's house in Huddersfield and we went for a long walk in the countryside which has pretty much drained all the energy out of me (doesn't help when you go out when you're already ill). I was practicing with my macro extension tubes again so I thought I'd show you some pictures I took:

I was experimenting with different focus points for the first two but personally I think the second one looks better but I'd love to know your opinion on which you prefer. After being so inconsistent with posting on a Saturday I've decided to change my posting day to a Sunday because sunday's are normally boring anyway just a homework day really. So I can be your homework distraction for a bit every sunday (your welcome;)

Now I better go before I start coughing like mad and somehow pass my illness to you guys ha (so glad that isn't possible) but who knows in the future you could pass on infections via the internet (idek I should just stop talking)..Sorry this post may bit a bit crappy but I'm pulling out the ill card as my excuse oops. However to end on a positive note which I always try to do as I'm definitely a glass half full rather than a glass half empty type of person (so I'm an optimist) hopefully I should be much better and fully recovered by next week!

School Made Me Sick

Hey guys!
Sorry about this being posted on a Sunday rather than the normal scheduled Saturday but I've been so ill today which started during the week in school (no surprise there, school is full of germs & infections ugh). Another of many reasons why I hate school, I always get ill when I start back at school again I just hate it as there's no way to avoid it!

Although enough about my shitty illness, I know you all know how crappy it feels you just have no energy to do anything; especially not homework. It gives me an excuse to watch Netflix though (not that I need one..no one can keep me from Netflix for too long).

Now that school's started again my week's been pretty basic, although I did love the fact I only just started school last Wednesday so had Monday & Tuesday off (pointing out the obvious why not) which was amazing. I went last minute shopping on Monday as I needed a new school bag and what better time to look for one right at the last minute..but luckily Accessorize had updated their bag collection (just for me obviously). I found a purple backpack but it was styled like a satchel I'm obsessed with it and all my friends love it which make me love it even more. After lots of struggling I also found a phone case, the reason I say struggle is because hardly any places sell iPhone 5C cases like why they gotta be so rude?! (don't they know I'm human too). They had a few but I chose this really cool purple (again ik) one which showed up the pink from the back of my phone which looked awesome.

Another thing I got dragged along to yesterday (even though I was ill I know) was the Yorkshire sculpture park in Leeds for what I call a family trip out (hoping you get the reference). I took several pictures of the new poppy exhibition they have there which was so pretty, I mean the weather wasn't nice but what do you expect living in the UK. Just for some context if you're interested my mum's friend runs a business and he does an annual calendar to hand out to his work colleagues and as I'm doing photography for an a level and just like it anyway he asked me to take all the pictures for it themed around Yorkshire. Even if he ends up handing it out to everyone for free (which he probably will) you know what I'm still happy as it's much of a cool thing to do for him than as for me. I'd probably say I'm more excited for the outcome as I'm pretty sure I'll get my own copy as well (here's hoping anyway) and to own a calendar with all my own pictures is something pretty cool to be able to say the pictures are all mine. So yeah I'm excited for that and I'm sure when I get my hands on it I will definitely show you some (if not all) pictures of it.

It's also a late post on a Sunday (depending on your definition of late) as I went to go play pitch & putt with my family earlier on today as the one we wanted to go to when I was at my uncle's closed down.Yet again my dad won so no surprise there. However I came joint last which being me made me happy because I didn't expect to win but I didn't wanna be so far last behind everyone else but I tied on 52 with my brother so that was alright.

I just want I say I hope you lot going to school/sixthform/university avoids getting ill as it's something that always seems to happen to me. Wait..maybe I'm allergic to school I mean it would make sense, mwuahaha now I have a plan to avoid school..no I wish I'll just go stop being weird and do some work idk. Good luck with getting back into the rhythm of school as we all reluctantly have to learn how to, unless you're some freak who loves school (joking sure you're not a freak I'm jealous though just don't think I'm cut out for school you get me;)

Anddd (dramatic overuse of letters btw) it wouldn't be my blog post if I didn't talk about then post a picture so here is one I took at the sculpture park of a pretty rainbow. As rainbows just seem to follow me everyone, reference to a post a while back which nobody probably read or remembers but meh shoutout to that/those special people that do. Also side not I did way over saturate this picture as it was a faint rainbow in the sky so wouldn't really show up anyway, so just remember that as I know that'll make it crap quality but lets just call it dramatic..

So I'll talk to you all next Saturday I promise, I hopefully will be feeling better by then as currently soothers are my lifesavers (as well as Netflix)...I'm sorry I know I talk about Netflix too often but I do have Amazon prime as well so credit to them but personally I do prefer Netflix. One of the main reasons is everything on Netflix is available but when I'm scrolling through Amazon Prime I always have to look to make sure it has a green tick by it meaning it's one of the ones that's free. I just think that's torture, making you get excited about watching a film, then you suddenly realise it isn't one of the free ones...
So yeah byee!

My Little Holiday

Hey everyone! As I warned last week I might not have been able to post Saturday and as it's Sunday now it's obvious that no I couldn't. So a day later isn't too bad, I've just come back from a little holiday which I've started to call it.
Oh god as soon as I wrote my little holiday down..the theme song for my little pony started singing in my head ugh just why?! (also sorry for bringing that up, good luck getting that out of your head ha)

On Wednesday I went down to Bristol to stay at my Uncle's house in Somerset as my brother is doing his first year resits and so what normally happens is that I get dragged along down but I do actually like going down there as it is a lovely place. I've only just gotten home as the journey does vary from 4 & 1/2 hours to 5 hours depending on traffic which I don't really mind as it means podcast time for me. I went to Glastonbury on Thursday for a look around and then on Friday I played crazy golf with my dad and my uncle which was fun. Even though my dad won as always..(although I have won before!) and my uncle agreed we both came joint second. I was so gutted that I didn't get a hole in 1 on the last hole as we agreed to all chip in a fiver so if we got a hole in 1 we would get £15 (now I think about it it's really only a tenner as we can't exactly give ourselves a fiver but oh well still good) Although I feel like the pressure got way too much for me as my blue ball ended up flying off the track oops.. I think I was just to desperate to win.

So school next Wednesday feels like it's looming over my shoulders which I'm constantly trying to block out which I'm sure you're all doing the same thing. Sucks for people who've already started school (I mean truth is I'm laughing in my head) but for me I'm starting my last year at sixthform which is gonna be weird. I've been at my school for 6 years now going on 7th so will be weird to finally leave all the teachers and students there. Then looking ahead hopefully university as long as I get in (fingers crossed York accept me) which will be a weird yet fun experience.

Here is a picture I love that I took when we were playing crazy golf and you know what it reminded me of straight away (let's see if you can guess with the picture below)

Ok so it reminded me of Balamory (90s kids put your hands in the air) what's the story in Balamory wouldn't you like to know, what's the story in Balamory where would you like to go? (That's the theme tune for any lame kids who didn't watch one of the best kids shows out there;) Below is a picture I attempted to take of the beautiful sunset in Somerset but I feel like sometimes even the camera can't do the sky justice to just how pretty it looked. In contrast to this, the next picture is of some cows in the field next door to my Uncle's house which is where I was staying because why not.

So to keep with the trend of doing lots of shoutouts to my favourite people well Tanya Burr (Beauty YouTuber if you're been living under a rock) has added some new products to her range, this time even making the packaging looking incredibly pretty! I haven't even tried it yet but I saw someone else wearing the colour on Twitter & thought I must buy it, it's called cupcake frosting. I would describe it as a bright pink but pale pastel colour if that makes any sense to you. She also has eye shadow kits, eyebrow kits (tempted to try as I use a pencil but a lot of people I know use powder instead) & a lovely lip gloss range. However personally I prefer lipsticks to lip gloss not necessarily mat as I do like shimmery lipsticks just I prefer the texture. Also means it is less likely to stick to your hair when it's windy which is a big problem if you're a girl with long hair (I'm sure some of you can relate).

I am extremely exited for September (if you ignore the going back to school part) as September 27th is when Once Upon A Time season 5 is being released onto UK Netflix I'm pretty sure. I've been been thinking about watching the whole of season 4 before it starts if I have time (I am a pro at binge watching so I should be fine) or I'll just watch season 4's finale to remind myself what happened. To make it even better in October The Vampire Diaries is releasing the newest season which means hopefully season 6 will be released onto UK Netflix. Another advantage America has over UK..just why?!

So good luck coping with school if you've already started and if you haven't started yet like me well then an even bigger good luck! Starting after the summer holidays is one of the worst things..trust me I know! Talk more next Saturday after hell aka school starts again.
