You won't be able to tell but wow this is weird for me, it feels so different (scroll to the bottom to find out if you don't wanna listen to my ramblings)
So if I'm honest I didn't really do anything the past week until Thursday (apart from binge-watching tv shows) but then I got more productive.
I ended up being very spontaneous Thursday night after my friends and I all met last minute to go to the fair in Harrogate and then for a drink afterwards. We talked about going to the fair in the day but it didn't take long for good ol' British weather to ruin that idea. I complain about the UK a lot but I do love it here, I realise that when once a year the sun ventures out and I can't cope. 17 degrees is too hot for me and recently we've had 23 degree weather which is crazy for us. The one thing I don't love is the constant rain we get (all you lucky lot living in hot countries have it good, I know you might have downpours but mostly it's dry)
We went on the waltzers which was fun, it brought back memories of the last time I went which was at least 3 years ago, how crazy! This time I went with all new friends apart from one friend who I went with last time. Next was the ride where (hmm I dunno the name so here goes) that goes side to side and up and down in a sweeping motion. Hopefully you know which one I mean, so that was good too apart from the lovely wet patch on our bums after because oh what a surprise it was still raining at 7 when we eventually got to town. The 3rd ride we went on was the ones that spin you round and round and back and forth (again dunno the name) which also showered us with foam. I was sat in the middle of my two friends and wow I got crushed, to this day (why does that phrase make everything sound so serious) I have a bump on the back of my head where I wacked it on the bar. Last but not least we went on this ghost train ride which I was excited about as I've never been on a scary ghost ride before. Up until the last bit me and my friend were fine but then this ghost came out of nowhere and screamed, we freaked the fuck out and of course this was where the ride ended so my friend filmed us freaking out. To finish off a good night we went so spoons but none of us were staying long so I just got a coke.
Okay apologies for the long rant!
Now skip to Friday night and there was the most beautiful sky ever! So of course I now have 7 different pictures of the sunset (yep I counted)
Here's some of the prettiest pictures which I haven't even edited because it doesn't need it.
Saturday was a busier but exciting day as it was time to get a macbook for uni (yep that's why I said it felt weird earlier because the keyboard is totally different to a computers) Writing this has helped me get used to it, so you guys have helped without even knowing. Before I went to buy it, I looked at all 3 options which meant between a Macbook, a Macbook Pro and a Macbook Air. Originally when thinking about this I thought of getting a pro but with my brother's advice, my parents and the lovely people at Apple. I decided on a normal Macbook but no not just any (again I just can't help being so dramatic) a rose gold one!
Isn't it so beautiful, I'm actually in love! Who needs guys when you have this...
GUESS WHAT..
I got a free pair of Beats wireless headphones because I bought a Macbook and of course I got the limited edition rose gold ones.
So now I have a rose gold phone, mac and headphones.
After I got my mac I went to boots with my mum as I had a £3 No7 makeup voucher so I thought I'd take advantage as it ran out soon. I got this exceptional definition mascara as I had a taster one before which was amazing on my bottom lashes and this lipstick in the shade berry plum I think. Here's my hand after I swatched all the shades to see what they were like, I eventually found the darker berry yet subtle lipstick that I wanted (yep I know very specific) I loved the berry shade I already have but the thing is with me and lipsticks is as soon as I get attached to one I end up wearing it all the time. So I thought it was time for a change, I liked my berry benefit one but it was much brighter and I wanted a darker one. (incase you don't know the one in the middle is the one I got)
We then went to Waterstones as my mum was buying me some books I need for uni and then after spotting this pokemon go table which I found funny.
I found a 50% off voucher for costa and I couldn't resist.
Especially as the voucher ran out soon, I got a belgian chocolate creamy cooler!
Excuse my shitty nails but next time you see them they'll be much better and a different colour.
On the way home we stopped off at this burger place and got some food aka burgers obviously. I got this beef burger with mozzarella, red pepper and wow it was so good!
Sorry if I'm making you hungry but damn that was one tasty burger!
Also I thought the place looked super cute as well
The place is in Leeds if any of you live nearby then you should definitely check it out
My dad surprised me with a load of sharpies he got from WHSmiths for £7.99 instead of £17.99 so that was amazing! Sorry I'm one of those people who get excited by stationary and if you are too then be quick and drag your ass to your nearest store (says in a friendly way I swear) either for school/uni/work etc.
Finally I have to show you this cute caprese lunch I made for my family, I got it from this cute salad book. It's so easy to make so if you love mozzarella & tomatoes like me then you"ll love it.
- Slice the tomatoes
- Cut mozzarella into strips
- Put it together like a sandwich
- If you like basil put that on top (I actually love basil now mm)
- Sprinkle olive oil or balsamic vinegar on top just to be fancy
So 5 easy steps and you get this, so simple to make yet it tastes amazing!
So I guess I'll talk to you soon, byeeee
